This consent type is based on the ad_storage parameter and determines whether ad cookies may be placed. This parameter ultimately determines whether a user's actions may be assigned as conversions.

Retargeting and personalized ads:

This consent type is based on the ad_personalization parameter and determines whether retargeting cookies may be placed. Thus, this parameter determines whether a user can see personalized ads.

Enhanced Conversions measurement :

This consent type is based on ad_user_data and determines whether the user's data may be used for advertising purposes.

Analytics measurement:

This consent type is based on analytics_storage and determines whether the user's actions on the site may be used for analytics purposes. Thus, this is only about insightful data.

You can filter the consent states by the desired time period so that you can analyze trends and patterns over different time periods.

Measured values affected by consent

The Consent Tool allows you to see at the value level in the graph what data may have been missed within analytics and advertising platforms. This is based on the 'request value' parameter and categorized into 'accepted' and 'denied,' or in other words whether the user accepts or rejects cookies. Note that this percentage does not always match the event-level graph. The difference is because the percentages are calculated based on the total value not accepted, while the event-level counts individual events. This allows you to more accurately estimate how much revenue value may have been missed.
